What is a planetary retrograde?
A retrograde is the apparent backward motion of a planet across the sky, caused by the difference between Earth's orbital speed and that of the planet – the planet never actually reverses. In astrology, retrograde periods are seen as a time to slow down, revisit and reflect on the areas the planet governs.
